A supportive blend of herbs if you are run down

This food supplement is a mixture of herbs to support your when feeling run down. Signs of being run down can include a tendency to cold sores.

Extracts such as tinctures or essences offer a convenient alternative to herbal teas. Many are used in food, food supplements, cosmetics and as an ingredient by herbalists in prescription formulas.

INGREDIENTS
Contains: Sugar beet ethanol (alcohol), Aqua, Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), Echinacea Root (Echinacea angustifolia), Astragalus Root (Astragalus membranaceus) and Liquorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra).

If you wish to avoid alcohol, put a teaspoonful of the blend into half a cup of hot water from the kettle and wait for five minutes. The hot water will evaporate off much of the alcohol.

Adults: Take 5ml (teaspoon) in a little water or a warm drink, 3 times a day throughout the month while feeling stressed (especially if prone to cold sores or herpes outbreaks), unless otherwise directed by a practitioner.

Do not exceed the stated dose.

CAUTIONS
Contains liquorice – people suffering from hypertension should avoid excessive consumption. Contains alcohol. Not all herbs are suitable in pregnancy, breastfeeding or for young children, or if you are unwell, have health concerns or an ongoing illness. If in doubt, please ask us, your medical herbalist or healthcare practitioner. If you are taking any medication, please speak to your healthcare practitioner before using this product. Discontinue use and consult a doctor if adverse reactions occur. This product should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet or lifestyle. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. This product is not intended for use by a person under the age of 18. Use with caution in anaemia, hypertension, cardiovascular disorders, oedema associated with heart failure, liver problems, kidney insufficiency, hypokalemia, hypothyroidism, fibrocystic breasts, male infertility or erectile dysfunction. Potentially interacts with diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, MAOIs, blood pressure medications, spironolactone, hormonal therapies, laxatives and K+ depleting medications.
