GOING LOOSE!
Many teas are sold in teabags these days. Our Napiers herbal teas are not and there are good reasons why not. A teabag only contains around 2 or 3 grams of very dry, finely chopped or powdered herbs. We believe that not chopping herbs into tiny pieces, which dries out their natural oils, helps to preserve their beneficial goodness.
We also like to vary the strength of our teas. We all come in different shapes, states or sizes, and so does our taste and need for a good cup of tea!
It’s very easy to use loose tea and doesn’t have to involve chopping down a tree to make the paper for a tea bag! Use a tea strainer or tea ball.
Compost loves loose too!
AVAILABLE AS

SUITABLE FOR
Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
INGREDIENTS
Contains: Matricaria recutita (German Chamomile Flowers), Mentha piperita (Peppermint Leaf), Trigonella foenum-graecum (Fenugreek Seed), Rubus idaeus (Raspberry Leaf), Foeniculum vulgare (Fennel Seed), Anethum graveolens (Dill Seed).
As the season changes there will be slight variation in the herbs, such as the colour, and the taste can vary slightly from harvest to harvest.
DIRECTIONS
Drink 1 to 3 cups per day. Drink the tea consistently as suddenly stopping the tea, instead of reducing amounts slowly, can affect milk supply.
CAUTION
Do not take if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
We have had some enquiries about whether the inclusion of peppermint herb affects women. Peppermint is only an issue in breastfeeding if using concentrated peppermint essential oil. In this case, about 30% of mothers may find it reduces milk supply. However, our blend contains one part of the whole leaf not the concentrated oil. Napiers Nursing Tea has been used for generations to increase milk flow. Fenugreek being the main galactagogue which increases milk supply. The small amount of peppermint herb is for the digestion of the baby. For more on this subject read Research and poll on the use of Peppermint Oil in breastfeeding by Robert Tisserand.
